Corero Network Security 17.50p £89.63m (CNS.L)

The Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) protection specialists yesterday reported a new contract and a partnership deal in Latin America. The new contract is with a Brazilian telecommunications provider to implement Corero's SmartWall ONE solution. Corero is also expanding into Peru through a new partnership with A51 Technology, a firm with over 20 years of experience. This partnership will enable Corero to target new opportunities across Peru in cybersecurity solutions.  The continued investment in regional alliances is a key element of its reinvigorated go-to-market strategy.

Duke Capital Limited 30.50p  £154.22m  (DUKE.L)

The  provider of hybrid capital solutions for SME businesses in Europe and North America reports a follow-on investment of  £1.9m into its existing capital partner, BPVA (Ireland), to enable it to complete a further acquisition. The  BPVA Group is an investment holding company established in 2018 to execute a buy and build strategy of synergistic companies within the Irish/UK Resourcing and Talent sector. Since Duke's initial investment, BPVA has made five major acquisitions along with five smaller bolt-on deals and is now made up of ten businesses, as it seeks to provide high-quality consultancy and recruitment services across Europe.

Firering Strategic Minerals 5.30p £9.77m (FRG.L)

The emerging quicklime production and critical mineral exploration Company is firing its first gasifier and Kiln 1 at its Limeco quicklime project to commence quicklime production. This is a key step towards achieving full-scale operations across all eight kilns by the end of 2025. Once at steady-state production, (100 tonnes of quicklime per kiln per day) Limeco will produce over 200,000 tonnes annually, establishing itself as one of Zambia's largest quicklime producers and an important supplier to the growing copper industry in the Central African Copperbelt.

Helium One 0.95p £56.02m (HE1.L)

The helium explorer updates on the Blue Star Helium (ASX:BNL) announcement regarding the Galactica Project. It  has spudded the 3054-helium development well  and is currently preparing to drill. The shallow conductor section has been set, and the Blowout Preventor is now being installed and tested ahead of drilling out the intermediate hole section. When Target Depth is reached, wireline logging will then be undertaken, followed by flow and pressure readings at the wellhead. This data will be used to estimate the potential of the well based on the production model. Helium One operates mainly in Tanzania, but with a 50% working interest in the Galactica-Pegasus helium development project in Colorado, US.

Inspiration Healthcare Group 23.5p £21.1m (IHC.L)

The global medical technology Company specialist neonatal intensive care medical devices yesterday updated on Trading for Y/E January 2025. After a strong H2, revenue for the full year is expected at £38.3m, which is slightly ahead of  last year’s £37.6m. The new CEO expects to return to EBITDA positive after a cost reduction programme was implemented during the second half delivering annualised savings of £1.25m. Encouragingly, prior to the year end, the Company won its largest single contract of $6m for ventilators plus associated accessories and consumables from a trusted global humanitarian aid organisation. Delivery of this contract is anticipated to be in the first half of this financial year and is expected to contribute to increased profitability in the current year.

Ondine Biomedical Inc. 11.5p £50.8m (OBI.L)

The Canadian life sciences Company and leader in light-activated antimicrobial therapies reports that its innovative light-activated antimicrobial treatment has the potential to become the first FDA-approved nasal decolonisation treatment for the prevention of surgical site infections. The treatment is presently undergoing a pivotal phase 3 trial (LANTERN) in US hospitals.  It has  already successfully treated over 200,000 patients in Canada and the UK, and both patients and clinicians have embraced the added protection that Steriwave provides against infection risks. This nasal decolonisation would apply to more than 35m major surgical procedures in the US annually.

OptiBiotix Health 16p  £15.7m (OPTI.L)

The life sciences business developing compounds to tackle obesity, high cholesterol, diabetes, and skincare, yesterday launched  FeelFull, in the US. It  contains SlimBiome, which is science-backed and clinically supported to impact on gut health. It is distributed by Daily Nouri, a known US brand selling products online and in stores of some of the largest retailers in the US such as Walmart and Albertsons. The ‘On-Pack' health claims are important in differentiating products in the weight management market and are an area of high consumer interest since the launch of the appetite reducing anti-obesity drugs. This follows launches in India, China, large parts of Asia and now the US. The CEO states that while this global approach is taking longer to establish, it has the potential to create multiple revenue streams to build a substantial business.

Pharos Energy 23.6p  £97.3m (PHAR.L)

The independent energy Company with assets in Vietnam and Egypt has entered into a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation in relation to the merger of the El Fayum and North Beni Suef Concession Agreements. The consolidated Concession Agreement is expected to unlock significant value in the Western Desert by improving fiscal terms, extending the term of the concessions, and committing the Contractor parties to additional work programmes aimed at increasing production from the areas. The CEO stated the MOU was key to further organic growth from its Egyptian portfolio and should generate significant value for shareholders and aims to complete negotiations as soon as possible.

Sovereign Metals Limited 41p £239m (SVML.L)

The UK-based mining Company specialising in exploration and development of mineral resources, notably graphite and other industrial minerals, reports on its  test work.  A  comprehensive  program  was completed by ProGraphite GmbH and Dorfner Anzaplan in Germany. This demonstrated that Kasiya graphite concentrate contains very low sulphur levels and the absence of other impurities of concern, providing a competitive advantage over other sources of graphite supply. The testing highlights the premium quality of Kasiya graphite concentrate providing a strong foundation for sales and marketing discussions. It confirms that the graphite product also meets or exceeds the key chemical and physical properties required to sell into the refractory market. The refractories market is the second largest end-user of natural graphite and requires larger, coarser graphite flakes with specific chemical and physical properties.

Tracsis 360p  £109.4m (TRCS.L)

The transport technology provider has signed a multi-year contract with Rail Settlement Plan, a division of Rail Delivery Group, to implement the core Tap Converter system that will power pay-as-you-go (PAYG) travel in urban areas across National Rail, processing all related transactions and fare calculations. It is a major contract win through a competitive bid process, to provide the central smart ticketing technology platform. The CEO says that the contract represents a major milestone in its smart ticketing technology journey, with the potential to grow into a valuable, long-term partnership over time
